Service Ministries

Service is important to the people of Atonement. We have many opportunities to make a difference both at Atonement and around our community.

Some of the current opportunities include:

  • Red Bag Lunches

Have you ever wanted to help the person on the street corner, but did not want to give them money?  Grab

a Red Bag by the front door at the church office entrance.   The bags contain non-perishable food items

in a little bag convenient to hand out.  You can serve others and give them food.

  • Humanitri

Atonement works with Humantri through their transition homes ministry.  Providing transformational

housing, helping families facing homelessness achieve stability in a safe and supportive community,

providing the skills and resources they need to thrive.  In addition to helping to obtain housing,

Atonement has, in the past, provided extra Christmas warmth with a "Giving Tree."

  • Feed My Starving Children (FMSC)

Since 1987, Feed My Starving Children has provided more than four billion lifesaving meals to malnourished       children.  Several Great Rivers Collaborative congregations, including Atonement, are hosting a FMSC               MobilePack at Atonement on July 13th, 2024.  We need 700 volunteers to work a two-hour shift to pack               132,000 lifesaving ManaPack meals.  To learn more, register, or donate, please visit https://fmsc-north-                county-mobilepack.mailchimpsites.com/.

  • Helping Hand

When a family is dealing with the death of a loved one, the Helping Hand team can help by providing

a luncheon for the congregation family and their guests following the funeral service.

  • T.E.A.M. (Florissant) and PAKT (Ferguson)

Each month Atonement collects non-perishable items for two of the area food pantries - TEAM, The                     Emergency Assistance Ministry, and PAKT Community Resource Center.  Additionally, in-season, food

from Atonement's Community Garden is donated to provide fresh vegetables.
